This class will cover the basic concepts and armatures of taking exceptional photographs, including aesthetic principles such as composition, space, exposure, lighting and color, format and resolution. We will also delve into Photoshop and the alteration and manipulation of our new photographs as well as the abilities to revive older images for posterity. Student assistants, who have a strong grasp on this digital medium, will join the class and assist our learners in this process. Through this partnership, they will offer their insight and experience into the entire process. This will be a wonderful way to not only ease and profit from this learning curve, but also introduce a higher level of interaction, instruction and lesson dissemination. In this lesson, we will learn to make a small rose, rosebud and leaves. We will also learn to color them and wrap the stems to form a bouquet.

Have you given up on cake pops? Let me show you my secret cake pop strategy. No gadgets or special cake pop pans required.
What you need to bring: 1 baked cake, any flavor (minimum size 8”) and a small container of frosting (homemade or store bought); a small or medium cookie scoop and a container or bowl for holding the cake pop dough. It is also recommended that you bring a box or small piece of Styrofoam for carrying your cake pops home.

SPRING CAKE POPS

Have you given up on cake pops? Let me show you my secret cake pop strategy. No gadgets or special cake pop pans required.
What you need to bring: 1 baked cake, any flavor (minimum size 8”) and a small container of frosting (homemade or store bought); a small or medium cookie scoop and a container or bowl for holding the cake pop dough. It is also recommended that you bring a box or small piece of Styrofoam for carrying your cake pops home.
**Instructor will provide equipment, dipping glaze, candy melts, edible decor and sticks

In just 2 hours, you will turn a bowl of buttercream into a beautiful assortment of spring flowers. Once you learn the secret to piping perfect flowers, you can use them to decorate all of your cake and cupcake projects.
Please bring 6-12 baked cupcakes and plenty of DECORATOR icing (you can purchase this at the craft store of The Chocolate Duck or make a batch of American Buttercream).
If you would like to take some flowers home, for future use, bring a large flat bottomed rectangular Tupperware container and some waxed paper.

Participants must be able to serve, dink and volley with some consistency. Comfortable attire and sneakers are required. Please bring a paddle with you. A limited number of loaner paddles will be available for use.
